GABELS GATE

Located in a classic apartment building in Frogner, this project involved the redesign of a 200 m² residence occupying an entire floor. Its defining quality lies in its unique position—surrounded by greenery and a private garden, with windows on all sides offering a full 360-degree orientation.

The layout was adapted to suit contemporary living while preserving original details such as crown mouldings and ceiling murals. A spacious, social kitchen was introduced and relocated to a south-facing position, while the former kitchen was converted into a master bedroom with an adjoining bathroom, alongside an additional washroom and laundry.

Along the east–west axis, the social spaces are arranged as a sequence of rooms, including a grand dining hall, living room, and library/TV room.
